Serving size of spaghetti?
Apparently I have been underselling myself when counting calories for my pasta portions. I have a big family, which can sometimes make it difficult to measure portion sizes when cooking. When I make spaghetti, I have weighed the noodles after cooking. I have generally weighed 3 oz of noodles and added a 1/2 cup of sauce. I thought the 3 oz of spaghetti noodles was 300 calories (box says 2 oz is 200 calories). In reading articles, it seems that the 2 oz serving size should be dry noodles, not cooked ones. Can someone please tell me about how much the 3 oz of cooked noodles is in dry noodles? Or about how many calories the 3 oz of cooked noodles would be?

3 oz (about 85 g) of cooked pasta translates to about 34 g of dried pasta.
Depending on the type of pasta and your boiling preferences,
dry pasta (long pasta) usually changes to around 2.5 times its weight when cooked.
It will weigh around 2.4 times as much after cooking if you prefer al dente, and around 2.6 times as much if you prefer soft, well-cooked pasta.
Then the calorie count is about 126 kcal for 85 grams of cooked pasta.
That means there are 378 kcal per 100g of dry pasta and 149 kcal per 100g of boiled pasta.
The following is an aside.
Grains, which are the main source of carbohydrates for humans, generally fall in the 340-380 kcal range for 100g of dried pasta.
Wheat, rice, corn, barley, rye, buckwheat, millet, wild millet, and amaranth are all in this range.
It may be somewhat useful for you to remember.

The weight of cooked pasta is about 2.25 times the weight of the dry pasta prior to cooking. So three ounces of pasta would only require about 1.4 ounces of dry pasta. (1.4 X 2.25 = 3.15oz)

I used to use a Kennedy Half Dollar to estimate the size of a serving. The more often you do it, it will then become natural.

Buy a spaghetti spoon and there won't be any more guesswork. That hole holds a single serving. Don't have a spaghetti spoon? Use an empty soda can with the pull tab removed.
