Since literally every question seems to break some kind of rules here should this entire site be shut down?

No. If you don’t like this site, you don’t have to come here.
If one is easily offended by someone not following rules, then Yahoo Answers isnt for them.
Besides, Yahoo refers to them as Guidelines, not Rules. They’re meant to help guide how this site is used. Guidelines aren’t meant to be strict rules where one gets reported if they stray from them. It is only the users with no life, who come to this site with a Bernie Fife attitude, who view the Guidelines as strict rules.

No they should Crack down on the ones that are Breaking the Rules and Delete the Questions But since Yahoo does not seem to want to hire any Actual Moderators and let the Community do the Reporting and Deleting thats not gonna Happen
Not all the Correct things get Reported

Not a chance. The rules are needed to help keep order on Answers at all times. Without them, Verizon will be forced to shut the site down if there are too many problems plaguing it and no moderation. Most users already remember this is an information exchange site and never a place to chat or play games.

No. Go to the serious categories like the sciences and you will see few rule-breakers.

No. YA is technically 15 years old. If you do t like YA, no one is forcing you to participate on YA. Go to Reddit and see how long it takes for you to be universally banned.
Google Answers was a failed product for good reasons, but Google Answers?was?a major reason why YA was created and STILL exists despite Jerry Yang almost destroying Yahoo to try to save it.

If people would realize that there are rules that they agreed to when they signed up and abided by them there wouldn't be any problems, but many think this is their own personal playground/blog/chat site. Everyone would do well to review the rules again.

Certainly certain boards should be shut down if making sure that we're all good little boys and girls is SO important (for some damn reason). Other boards (computer coding probably) are fine. Politics, religion, gender studies are pretty bad.
