Which thermal image was taken during the day and which one was at night? Give two reasons why.?
I believe the picture on the left was taken at night because of the higher contrast between low and high thermal energy coming out, and the picture on the left seems to be more "white" maybe because of higher thermal energy due to the sun heating up the entire surface over the day?

You seem to have confused things by calling both pictures 'the one on the left' - there is no mention of 'right'. Always check your text before posting.
As I recollect from seeing police helicopter footage on TV in the UK, the darker the image, the more heat is given out. Shadows are 'white'.
Think about suburban heat sources versus city centre heat sources, possibly think less about sun heat.
Await more logical answers after you have cleared up 'left' and 'right'.
If I am right about the black parts being the hot parts, then the pic on the left might be daytime, that dark rectangular blob at lower left might be a factory.
