How come NBC did not terminate Ellen DeGeneres show after the scandal? ?

They SHOULD HAVE! Ellen is NOT as nice as she pretends to be on the show! She is a hypocrite! Besides, I think she has made enough fame and fortune for herself, from the show that she doesn’t even need it anymore! Her net worth is $490 million!

Wow talk about hypocrisy.  First off, I don't think any celebrity is nowhere near as nice as they portray themselves.  Look at what a miserable, nasty you-know-what Rosie O'Donnell is in real life, and how she portrayed herself as the "Queen of Nice."  And not everybody who is on the staff of one of the talk shows is going to like their boss.

Second, can we stop for a moment and review how this "scandal" came about?  Ellen was pretty much beloved in Hollywood, and among the entertainment industry.  Part of it was her "nice" persona and part of it was "lesbian makes good" story.

The she ran afoul of the Hollywood Elite, and Social Justice Warriors all over America by being seen taking in a football game (I think it was the Cowboys) while sitting next to former President George W. Bush.  Worse yet, they were talking throughout the game, and enjoying each other's company.

When Loyal Lefties took to social media to scold Ellen for "fraternizing with 'the enemy'," instead of immediately apologizing and throwing in some anti-Donald Trump comments to show she was still loyal to "The Resistance," Ellen told them to mind their own business and that she, not they, will choose her friends and those whom she associates with.

That's when the "leaks" of her nasty behavior started.  First it was former staffers, talking about what a "monster" she was, then it was some guests...all from the Hollywood crowd running to the media with their "Ellen is a b****" stories.

Now, people don't change overnight.  That means that either Ellen has been like this for years, and Hollywood just tolerated her and kept the stories hushed up (sort of like they did when Harvey Weinstein was raping people) because she was a proper and loyal Hollywood Liberal, or these people are just exaggerating and, in some cases, fabricating their stories in order to smear Ellen in retribution for not BEING a proper and loyal Hollywood Liberal by daring to enjoy the company of a (gasp!) Conservative Republican, and not being remorseful when criticized for it.

In other words, it's pretty much the usual Hollywood BS.

Liberal black racists and gay TV and radio "entertainers" are at this time somewhat protected from being career terminated because their employers fear socialist backlash.....which I kind of now think is hilarious, seeing the big TV media moguls have now painted themselves into a tight corner.

$490 million net worth??? Ellen DeGeneres?? Boy, did she hire a really savvy PR service!!!  DeGeneres' ACTUAL net worth is WAY LOWER than $400M.

She earns for them. That's why.

Networks should cancel profitable shows of people who aren't nice enough. For great justice. And go bankrupt. Yeah, that's a sound business decision.

I agree she doesn't need the show, but lots of celebrities stay on TV even after they're rich.  Look at Jerry Springer, Judge Judy, and Dr. Phil.

As far as why NBC keeps her, the ratings must be good.

    You said, "They SHOULD HAVE!"

That's YOUR opinion, and, you SHOULD be aware that your opinion doesn't count.

If NBC fired her, they'd have a hole in their schedule.  It takes time to work out such problems.  Meanwhile, people on the show's staff would suffer.

When you make calculations, it's important that you not ignore such aspects.  Decisions are easy to make when you are willing to ignore unwanted side effects.

It isn't about what Ellen needs.
