What happens to my lawn if I dont rake the leaves?
I'm sick of raking leaves on my property. Many on my street don't and the leaves get blown onto my lawn after I raked them.

If you leave them until spring, they retain a lot of water from the melting snow &, with their nutrients, they provide extra minerals to your lawn. If you leave them until about the 2nd or 3rd week of spring, your lawn will be healthier, greener & denser. Then, rake them all up (will be a harder job, as they'll be damp). You'll have a better lawn because of it.

They'll block light from the grass and the patches of grass they cover will turn yellow and may even die.
It takes several weeks for this to happen, though, so you won't need to rake them up straight away. Just wait until most of the leaves have fallen then rake them all up at once.
