Why would Jim Biden refuse to answer questions?

If I was falsely accused to crimes I would be more than happy to defend myself.

    Anyone faced with uncomfortable truths that aren't facing questions by a friendly media, why answer? I'm sure Nixon would have been happy to not answer questions about Watergate back in the day.
