Allergic to hair dye?
I used a black box dye first and had an allergic reaction to it and went to the doctor to get treated, the second time I used a black dye from Sally’s that said it was ppd free and for sensitive scalp but that didn’t work either It swelled up my head and was way worse.Ive been dying my hair for years now and just had this problem it makes me sad I can’t dye it anymore, just wondering if anymore had a similar problem or knew what the cause was or if I could ever dye my Hair again :(

You need to do a spot test first. Why didn’t you do that after one bad reaction?
Write down expecting what you are using.
There are many brands out there.

Maybe try henna dies they usually have some natural ingredients. But read the ingredients in it and do an allergy test first (instructions on how to do that should be in the box|), before doing your whole head. If you have a reaction to it don't use it.
The worst reaction I've had to Sally's dies was an itchy scalp for a few days, I've never had a reaction like that to hair dye.

You have to do a patch test 1st. Mix the dye like you normally would and put a small amount either behind your ear or on your forearm. Leave it on for a few minutes (google to see how long, I can't remember off the top of my head. 5 minutes-30 minutes I can't remember), then wash it off. Then wait 24 hours to see if an allergic reaction takes place.
