Gym need help?

So I’m doing chest shoulder triceps today and I always done each body part all at once then move onto the another I saw something about mixing your activities to give your muscles a break before hitting them agian should I do that like Chest exercise then shoulder exercise etc,

    All the workout programs I've ever done, would work a muscle group A, then work another group (or more) before returning to do a different exercise for muscle group A. Considering no exercise works only 1 single muscle area, many of your exercises will involve the the same muscle groups repeatedly, even if it the specific focus is on a different muscle each time.
