Has Switzerland proven that multiculturalism has succeeded?

Didn't Angela Merkel say that "multiculturalism has failed". Isn't it true that her neighbor Switzerland has proven that multiculturalism has succeeded?

Update:

Isn't Switzerland composed of Germans, French, Italians, and Romanians? And don't all these cultures get along very well whilst even speaking their own languages?

Not at all.  Switzerland is a small, but successful, country that has four official languages, but the country is not at war with itself.

Switzerland has no significant Romanian population.  About 1-2% of the Swiss speak a language called "Romansch," a dialect of Latin.

Switzerland has 3 very similar cultures (French,German and Italian), with 3 languages that are spoken in 3 distinct areas, so the “native” people hardly mix. I’ve not been there for about 10 years, but I really cannot think I’ve been to a “whiter” country, so I don’t think they’ve even heard of multiculturalism .

Anon's comment about it not being remotely easy to be allowed to live in Switzerland about sums it up.   The Swiss are able to be choosy - and a lot of it is based on ones' Bank Balance!!

No, its population consists mainly of Swiss who have 4 different native languages: Italian, French, "German" and Romansch (not Romanian)
