Things are much easier when you go to class and pay attention. Honestly- I know that sounds simplistic, but it took me a while to learn it. When it's a large lecture class, it's easy to think that you can skip class and get the notes. But if you go, and listen, and take your own notes, you won't have to study nearly as hard for the tests.

Pack snacks and water in your bag. You may not have much time between some classes.
