Anyone have a story of not waking up in their own house on Christmas Day? ?

I've waked Christmas morning at my in-laws' or my parents' house plenty of times. No story to tell. We were the ones able to travel to visit, some years. Usually the bed is too small or something isn't comfortable about it and neither of us has slept well, but when your parents get old enough that they can't travel, or are too ill to travel, you make small sacrifices.
