Good movie. It was a TV movie, but was released theatrically in some places, and did reasonably well.
Side note. Around that time SS also directed "Murder by the Book". This was the first episode of Columbo (after the pilots) and I think one of the best.

I think it's a good movie, especially being his first, it was a sign of good things to come.

Kind of a creepy movie, although I enjoyed it. I remember when Dennis Weaver starred in Gentle Ben back in 1967.
