Shipping breakables through the mail. Should I buy it or not?
Because of Covid and my car being broke down currently, I've been having to do all my Christmas shopping completely online this year. I was thinking about getting my mom a new dinnerware set, but the only store we have in my town is Walmart. I was wondering if anyone had experience shipping plates through the mail. Should I just pass on the set and get her something else or do you think it would be fine?

I bought my niece a dish set for their wedding. I had the store ship it. Then if anything arrived broken they took care of it. And honesty the fee was not much more than I would pay to ship.
All arrived safe and sound.
Ship from Wal Mart and if it arrives broken they or you should be able to return or exchange.
If you have Amazon you can return with ease at Kohl’s.
We order a lot from Amazon. Delivery is almost always just fine.
The dishes should be in their original box and well packed.

Professional reputable places know how to pack breakables and usually either replace or credit you for breakage.
