learning 3d animation?

Hi all, i started learning Blender a week ago, doing a bunch of beginner tutorials. But I wanted to know as the subject is very huge, what I want to learn is making a small animated video kind of lets say for example a minute of the movie 'Next Gen' on Netflix. 

So in order to do that I need to learn modeling an environment, modelling the characters, and then animating them.... right? excluding things like lighting ofc.

Sorry for the possibly confusing question.
