because Jesus was God, and God has always existed.

The corrupt religious officials of the day had no problem understanding that when Jesus said that, he was claiming to be God - the "Great I AM" - who first appeared to Moses, in the desert.

Because it is true, John 14:6, Ex. 3:14.

Jesus was given all power and authority from the Father. Jesus created the earth, was known as Jehovah, the God of the old testament, was born to mary, died for our sins and will be our judge.

Jesus identified Himself as "I Am" to the ancient house of Israel.

"13 And, behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father Genesis 28:13

"14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you." Exodus 3:14

So when Jesus said that "before Abraham was, I Am", He was saying that He was Jehovah, the God of the old testament. This is why the Jews took up stones to stone Him for blasphemy.

Because the Lord Jesus Christ is God.  Nobody can be good enough to avoid hell.  So to avoid hell, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is that easy.  When a person dies, they will be in heaven or hell, and they can't get out of hell if that is where they go.  To go to heaven and not go to hell, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, without adding any of your works.  Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is God and who died on the cross and shed His blood to pay for all our sins, and who resurrected from the dead.  See Romans 4:5 and 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.

"ONE SELFSAME SPIRIT" (I Corinthians 12:11)

"SO ALSO IS CHRIST" (I Corinthians 12:12)

Who was (((INSIDE))) the "ONE SELFSAME SPIRIT"

"Until the time had fully come" (Galatians 4:4).

Please fix your question. A lot of... unfortunate... individuals don't know where to place the punctuations, and thus are interpreting your question incorrectly.

Your question should be: Why was Jesus so adamant to say: "Before Abraham was, I am"?. In other words, He is saying that He was since the beginning of it all. Since the creation of everything, the Alpha. It's one of the many scriptures in which Jesus showed that He is God, where it was up to our understanding to decipher its meaning. He did, after all, in innumerous cases, speak in parables, did He not? Peter Simeon was one of the individuals that deciphered this, and stated in Matthew 16:13-20 that Jesus is THE Son of the living God. Jesus blessed Him for that, when He could have just as easily said "Me? God's Son? Whatchu talking about?" or something of the likes :P.

Jesus never spoke with Abraham, moron. You're confused about John, 8:58,  "Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you (i.e., a gathering of Jews), before Abraham was, I am.".

He didn't seem very adamant about it to me, why does he seem so adamant to you?
