Can acquired brain damage from wearing a restrictive  face mask cause concentration issues?

Face masks in general do not cause brain damage, but the one I wore was wry dirty and restrictive that caused limited air flow. I acquired brain damage due to a lack of oxygen and was wondering if this kind of damage could be the cause for my concentration/focusing issues.   I’ve been working at my new job for 2 weeks now and I still haven’t learned anything due to this issue. I’m also unable to concentrate and remember.

Update:

I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child.

No, a mask has not caused your particular form of disfunction:  "I am currently a patient with this mental heath organization. Mercy Mental Health. (Wyndham Clinic) Phone number. +61 3 8734 1550 (8AM - 3PM AEST) Patient name Jan Harmond Dacion. Please do not complicate my situation by telling them any other problems I don't have, as I am trying to get a 2nd opinion that will show I have no mental illnesses that will then allow me to start a career. Don't take away my life. ."

Hahaha No bueno. I am a trauma nurse and I have to wear an N95 mask + a regular mask + goggles.. ALL day. 12 hours a day.

Yes does it restrict oxygen and make it hard to breathe, absolutely. However the average blood oxygen level is 90-100 o2. You suffer delusions when your blood oxygen sinks below around 60. There is no possible way even double masks could restrict this type of oxygen from the brain.

At most even double masks would only make you drop 1 or 2 percent, when the majority of people’s baseline is 100o2. Which even losing slight oxygen would keep you well above normal range. Which isn’t nearly enough to cause even the slightest of brain issues.

Also if you do happen to ever lose too much oxygen it causes extreme delirious behavior and confusion,

Not really concentration issues. However haha I can promise no mask will ever cause this. The people who I see come in with severely low oxygen levels ( enough to cause deliriousness or confusion) are most likely dying or have critical underlying issues. Loss of oxygen.. enough to cause confusion or deliriousness is a very serious thing that people around you would most likely pick up on immediately. It’s not like “ohh hey I’m wearing a mask and it’s causing confusion because I’m losing too much oxygen”... haha that’s not how it works. Loss of oxygen to the point it effects any sort of brain function, is reason for immediate emergency intervention, and it certainly doesn’t just happen from wearing a mask for hours at a time.

Yes masks can make it hard to breathe and hear the people around you and can even make it hard to focus but this has nothing to do with oxygen levels.

I would see your physician if your really that concerned.  It’s probably something else like ADD or ADHD. I can assure you it is not a mask doing this.
