do you think there are any truly honest politicians seeking public office ?

In my 87 years I have watched politicians over and over spend ten times the salary of the job they seek! why do you think they do this ?

Update:

the longer they stay the worse they become, we need term limits

    There are no saints in politics, but most of them try pretty hard to avoid outright lies.  Trump is the exception; he couldn't stop lying to save his life.  We can do better than him.
