Car lease ended, still received DMV registration?
We turned in our van after the lease was up on August. It is December and we received a renewal notice from the DMV for the said van. I called the dealership and they told me to just ignore it. Should I?

Depending on the state, you turn in a release of liability.
DMV is most often California. If that is what you mean, the release of liability form is online.
In California the plates stay with the car, not the owner.

Yes, ignore it. You could be nice & send it back with a note telling them that the lease ended.

thanks Eva for your response. When we turned in the vehicle, my wife asked about the plates, they said they'll handle it. Apparently they did not >:(

Did you turn in the plates or put them on a new vehicle? If you did not put them on a new vehicle, you should have turned the plates into the DMV so they could cancel the registration.
