Yahoo eliminates reader responses to their articles for now ?
It seems curious that Yahoo has eliminated reader opinions and input to their articles ... supposedly to eliminate hurtful comments .
M eanwhile , they ;publish articles that are often : bias , "slanted" incorrect and self serving.
THAT seems to be self serving and contradictory . It certainly DOESN'T appear to facilitate fair and balanced news where viewer responses on site are now both eliminated and prohibited . Isn't that how propaganda prospers ? What do you think ?

Spot on Stu, They can't abide being called out on their corrupt globalist agenda. It is censorship of the peoples views. The sad thing is they do convince the halfwits that they are in the right.

"Don't read Yahoo if you don't like it," and "Go complain to the editor at the source" largely miss the point being made. The issue is how best to expose Yahoo's poor, college-dorm journalism on an article-by-article basis to the rest of the world who may be looking to this "aggregator" platform for "news." Comments posted under the article itself are the best way to highlight the nonsense that permeates Yahoo's news presentations, which typically are nothing more than Neanderthal-liberal blogs/op-eds masquerading as "news" reports. Cutting and pasting tweets is not journalism.

I agree that eliminating comments allows more nonsense to be reprinted by Yahoo without any push back or clarification from readers. Yahoo is in no way fair or balanced.

The way that social media platforms have completely destroyed print media--by their online newsfeeds to Facebook and Twitter, algorithmically only showing to the user what the algorithm or the platform architect wants the user to read. Social media platforms have destroyed investigative journalism and journalists. There are hardly any local investigative journalists on the local beats anymore. What we get is the national news feeds, then filtered through the algorithmic bubble. Is it any wonder that foreign countries have sewn chaos in all countries since this began? Not at all. Yet, social media platforms that provide newsfeeds do not have to comply with the FCC, that broadcast media have to comply with, nor journalistic standards....like....producing facts, searching for Truth. Social media platforms that sponsor 3 kinds of utitilies have no Responsibility whatsoever. They are a communication platform: FCC and telecoms have laws...they don't have to comply with. They are a news source through their feeds....and do not understand, nor compl with any journalistic standards. They are publishers of content, and do not comply with the laws that other publishers must follow. I would be happy to see Facebook, and Twitter and just about all of it go, since nobody stops them from unleashing chaos, by whatever means. Nobody stops them from cashing in on collecting your data, using the user...to build billions of profiles, and furthering their algorithms to sell to....whomever. Social media pushes buttons of commenters who then, as expected by the data profiles, write whatever they "feel" behind the supposedly safe wall of their computer screens that they wouldn't dare say face to face with a live human being. Social media is a monster, an unregulated monster. The comment sections at Yahoo, as everywhere else have mostly been manipulated by paid trolls, the paid trolls of corporate masters, or corrupt campaigns, or industries, or whomever sees the payoff to pay them. It's incredible that being a Troll has become an actual job, an industry. Their toxic propulsion of chaos and hate is then amplified across the world through social media created algorithmic bubbles that target users with their chosen targeted articles, and those targeting "news" feeds that the carefully created algorithm's "think" you want to see. They are still out there in force, the Trolls, and the algorithms. From there, having your profile and everyone's data profile on file in the databanks, they target the users with "news" that they believe can manipulate the user. Doesn't that bother you? It's disgusting and pathetic. From their vantage point, it's been a success and a money maker. billions. Trillions are being made, but not by you and me--but off of you and me. In many instances, Putin has won the cyber battle of 2016, and is still winning in 2020. That's who the winner is, so far, as well as the Data Giants Facebook, Google, Amazon, Twitter. They win the cyber war, not you. You are the target, the victim. The country is the victim of this abuse. The wars of today are fought with data. Understand? To insure that Putin keeps winning the battles, or whatever country keeps winning, keep on fighting on the internet, each other. Continue to fall for their algorithms, manipulating you. Read an actual newspaper, like people used to do. If you wanted different opinions, read another newspaper. Read actual books to find answers. We are all victims, targets of this new digital manipulative construct. Rebel by not using it. Rebel and resist by reading many books, and many, if you can find them, print media sources. Social media is NOT journalism. Social media doesn't understand what journalism is--at all, nor follows any journalistic ethics that actual journalists do. (Find the truth, find the facts--without inserting your own opinion). The pillar of a free society is the Free Press. With Social media, that pillar is severely eroded. Buy print media or subscribe to actual newspapers/magazines. Read them all. Read books, there's plenty out there still, thank goodness. I'm glad that Yahoo took down their comments section. It was nothing but Trolls, and Russian Paid Trolls mostly. Youtube seems to be full of them, when you see the comments sections. It was very wise of Yahoo to disconnect from the Trolls. Now, if someone can deal with the out of control, unregulated, irresponsible social media platforms, we may have a chance.

You need not agree with it or even bother to read if you feel it lacks credibility.

For the umpteenth time, yahoo news is an aggregator site. They only have a minute amount of original content probably to satisfy some sort of regulation. It you have issues with individual articles go to the source and then complain in the usual way to the editor.
