Are there still people in Germany with the surnames?

In have known people here is the US with the first 3 surnames.  Only the Brahms is a fine musician. There may be others.  I also know people who are musicians named Schubert, Tchaikovsky (variant spellings) and others.

I dunno, but I've never met anyone in the UK with the surname Shakespeare, which I find puzzling since he was supposed to be some kind of lothario and even had a son named Hamnet. So where'd all the Shakespeares go? 

I do know there were 56 different telephone listings in the Berlin phonebook under the surname Hitler in 1933. Today, there's nobody in Germany with that last name. Apparently, all the people with the last name Hitler throughout Germany changed their names after World War II.
