Is it a bad idea to buy books from GoodWill (thrift shop) during the pandemic? How can I disinfect the books?

I really want to read books recently and I’ve only got like three at home that I can find. Maybe it’s a better idea to read online. But does anyone know how to disinfect books? Any other advice?

Orthodox Christian three hand signs are different than Buddhist mudras. Ecumenism = 263 heresies; each heresy leads to hell. Orthodoxy = the only true faith; Roman Catholics tried one cup - one spoon ritual and got sick with Bubonic plague; if heresy enters Orthodox monastery then monks/nuns will get sick with flu/tuberculosis (for instance); Orthodox churches who closed for COVID or had disposable cups/spoons or dipped spoon into alcohol are no longer brides of Christ (now they serve Satan and honor Satan's new COVID religion). Don’t go into UFO to be “healed” by evil demons; demons never do good. SSN is written as a barcode/QRcode; then it's put into a chip; chip is put into vaccine; chipped people are influenced (by super computers) to receive grey plastic card World Passport with no name on it (but when they stretch their hands to get it, gov't clerk presses secret button to administer the unforgivable green 666 tattoo by isotope rays). If you reject mark of the beast then your direct ancestors go to heaven (according to saint Vyacheslav Krasheninnikov from Ural); forgive me.

Source(s): Documents are from Satan; burn all the documents that you can find. Electronics will be used to track you. Even old broken unplugged 1970 TV set will show the evil flying antichrist using Tesla's ether. Don’t go into UFO to be “healed” by evil demons; demons never do good; always pray the Jesus prayer or to saints who help right away (like saint Vyacheslav Krasheninnikov according to whom if you reject mark of the beast, then your direct ancestors go to heaven); forgive me.

Don't bother disinfecting them. Take them home, out them in an out of the way place and then wash your hands. Let them sit for 3+ days and they'll be fine. In the unlikely event you carried them out of the store with the virus FRESHLY on a surface, it will be dead after that much time

The virus doesn't last long at all on dry surfaces.

    Buy yourself a UV light.

I concur with everyone else. At most, you wash your hands when you get home and leave the books sitting for a day, by which time any live viruses that were on them (probably none) would have died.

I buy a lot of my books from thrift stores. Enjoy!

    From webmd May 2020

    Paper

    Examples: mail, newspaper

The length of time varies. Some strains of coronavirus live for only a few minutes on paper, while others live for up to 5 days.

Just throw them in a  box for a week.

Leave them for 24 hours and they will be safe.  The virus doesn't last very long on paper.

Tests have shown that the virus doesn't live on books, or boxes, or many other surfaces.

If you would feel safer, set them aside, in a sunny, dry place for a few days.

It’s unlikely you would catch COVID from a book
