No. How would this air get to Mars?

Any amount of air that is released on Mars will immediately be contaminated by the surface radiation that has built up on the planet, and it will almost instantly dissolve into space because

the Martian atmosphere is not dense enough to keep air intact

or 'in place' so that it can actually become a new atmosphere.

It would slowly leak off into space, because Mars has too little mass and too high a temperature to hold an atmosphere of air.

Atomic oxygen would erode its energy.

    anything is possible

It would evaporate, essentially boils off the surface.  Mars lacks the gravity and magnetic fields to prevent the solar radiation from stripping it off.
