It is difficult to get a start, however you get clients by advertising and word of mouth. The more you get satisfied customers, the more work they will get for you! But if you cut corners and do unsafe garbage work, you will not survive! Like some of these so called  "can light" electricians that are out there on Craigslist!

A lot of times the electrical comoanies send a representative out from their company to visit other companies to try to sell them their electrical service. Also a lot of previous customers tell others about the electrical company that does work for them so a lot of the clients are obtained through word of mouth.
