What will hormones do?
Assuming you are transgender....
First, the following acronym applies:
YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary)
Hormones cause many changes.
Physically:
Some softening of facial features.
Fat redistribution to a more female pattern (hips, butt)
Breast development
Loss of some upper body strength
Drier, smoother skin
Decrease is amount and thickness of body hair.
Better hair on head.
Some shrinkage in the genitals.
Mentally:
Change in sexual response.
Subtle change in all the senses.
Increased emotional lability.
What they won't do:
They cannot eliminate facial hair. If you have or develop facial hair it will have to be eliminated with facial electrolysis and/or laser.
They can't change your bone structure. Many people will claim they got bigger hips, but that not from bone changes, it's simply deposition of body fat.
They can't change a male-type voice. Once you've been through a male-type puberty you will have to retrain your voice to be female. It takes a lot of work, but it can be done.
Some people think estrogen will give them a female waist. Hormones won't make you skinnier all by themselves. In fact estrogen usually makes it easier to gain weight. You will have to watch what you eat and exercise like all other women.

If you actually were a trans woman you would have gotten all that information from the gender identity therapist who prescribed the hormone therapy medication. 4 years ago you claimed be trans and to have been referred for hormone therapy by the NHS in the UK. If that was true you would have been on hormone therapy a long time ago. Therefore, I doubt you are transgender at all.

First two things you will notice are nipple sensation/irritation and loss of sex drive. Those effects usually separate the cross dressers from the transsexuals.

Is it going to be injectable? Then you will
develop breasts.
But I only know the side effects if a woman takes it:
Breast tenderness,
fluid retention,
vaginal bleeding,
nausea,
headaches.
Also, I've read that estrogen has a favorable effect on gut bacteria, but it's only helpful if you have a problem to begin with. As women age, and lose their hormones, it affects their gut bacteria in a negative way. Apparently, wrong types of microbiomes in your intestines can contribute to insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, and obesity.
Anyway, good luck with your therapy.

If you don't already know the answer to that, then you have no business starting cghrt for your own well being. There are many good places to figure that out, yahoo answers is not one of those places, learn as much as you can on your own, but ALWAYS listen to your dr.

You need to discuss this with your doctor and counsellor. Asking random strangers on the internet is a really pointless thing to do.
