Should I dump my makeup?
Okay, a little explanation first. I haven't used my eyeliners, lip glosses or lipsticks or eyeshadow in over a year now, maybe two. I've used my foundations frequently, but the rest of the stuff has just been sitting in their boxes forever, and I don't see me using them anytime in the near future. I primarily just wear the wigs, and sometimes the foundation. The rest of the stuff is just sitting in the boxes. I just haven't been interested in getting all made up in quite awhile, so why keep it around? My mom says I should just box it up, tape the box shut and put it in a closet for a few months. If I should feel like using it again, it would still be there. If it does turn out that I don't even want it anymore, which I don't, should I just dump it?

Eyeliner and mascara throw out! Eyeshadow you can clean and store. Lip gloss I would toss. Lipstick can be stored.
You may want it later on. This past year has been depressing for everyone.

If it has been used, you need to throw it away already, especially eye makeup. Mascara dries out fast and bacteria grow exponentially. You don't want an eye infection. I'd say, keep blush and foundation, spray it with desinfectant, wash your brushes. Throw away all the rest and buy something you would actually like using, preferably high end.

makeup has an expiration after which it doesnt work well, and can breed bacteria, particularly the liquid types. The solid ones flake up. Loose powder probably ages well. So yes, if its 2 years old, dump it.
