Do we really need to be so defensive against the better teams?
Every time we have played against one of the better teams we have been so defensive this season. Last season we were taking the game to the better sides and it paid dividends. That was with Lingard in the team as well.
Sorry but with Pogba playing well and Fernandes we should be taking the game to these better sides. I get that we lost 6-1 to Tottenham earlier in the season but that should not be an excuse for us to change to a more defensive approach against the better teams.

I think it’s not because we play too much defense but it’s because we don’t have adequate attack. And judging by the stats, we actually have decent buildup, just bad finishing. We should put Cavani in starting 11.

All the most successful teams are based on a solid defence.
I am most happy for Harry Maguire after a bad summer and dodgy start to the season he now is looking like the real deal and with a vastly improved John Stones for city it is looking good for the England team and maybe Southgate will finally ditch Eric Dier the guy's not England Class.
Gone off subject a bit but I'm always thinking of England. Ha

I feel like Ole goes into big games with the mentality of not to lose, especially given what happened against Spurs.
Today, I feel like it was justified, because Liverpool do press and if you weather the storm, we can actually play once they don't press as much, whilst still providing a threat on the counter, when they're pressing.
It seems like other teams simply have better attacking players upfront, so being more defensive is a necessity at times, especially given how we can't seem to finish.
Maybe we should play more defensive against any team big team that presses, so we can withstand that, but we have to be more clinical, because we can't expect to get too many chances against the bigger sides, but other than that, I don't seeing us try and take the game against any big team that doesn't, because then we can make them chase the game, whilst still providing a threat on the counter.

Yes. United had chances today that should have been taken but United aren't Man City who can get away with going plan A for most of the season. United need plan B and even C. If United won today Ole would be considered a genius. You need loads of time to build a squad close to what City and Liverpool have but you can't afford to wait so much find the best way possible to challenge these two teams. Spurs are also struggling with it despite having the best Spurs squad I've ever seen with obviously one of the best managers of all time

Yep agreed.. They should try helping eachother gwt better.. Instead of doing that.. Helping to get better and better eachother to keep moving forward. Sports does kinda invoke that wild and animal like side tho. And people are super competitive and such. Still cheating and trying to get others down I dont think is the right way to go about it personally.
