I am a man 38 years old she plays the bass, and I am a failed bass player, I'm very bad at playing bass, no matter how much I practiced, what can I say to her? I haven't played bass in 4 years, I've forgotten 98% of everything, and I never got to bass cover.

If you can't figure this out on your own you have way more issues than a failed bassist.
