Is fps trust legit?

I got a letter saying I have a it's account from them that I had no idea about. Before I give any other information I wanted to know if it was legit first.

    Do your homework on them and Refuse to give them Any personal information. Let THEM tell you what have first. 

    By way of reference, I often get calls from my 'Electric Company' saying that they will cut off my electricity in 2 hours, without a payment right away-like NOW(I have direct payment so it is not an issue). BUT, when I ask them MY electric company's name and account number, they get all evasive.

    i would check them out with the better business bureau
