Where should I start reading in the bible? ?

It can seem like a daunting task! But not impossible. The first best advice I can give you as a Bible reader is most importantly to pray for God to help you to understand what you read. Second piece of advice is that after you read, to take some time to think about or “meditate” in other words on what you have read. That will help the information to take hold in your mind and you heart. And the third piece of advice is to study the Bible along with a book that I linked below. It isn’t a big book, but it is soooooo helpful when reading the Bible. If you like the book but want a hard copy you can find info on the website to request one. 

Start with the last page, you won't have missed anything.

This depends on what your needs are.

Once when was mad read the whole book of Proverbs in one night to help me calm down.  Pray for direction and you will find it. If you love songs then read Psalms because it is a book of songs the Hebrews used to sing to God.

Start at the beginning and read it through to the end.  Doing that make me the atheist I am today.

Christians will tell you to read just the "nice" parts about Jesus giving instruction in ethics as ethics were understood in the 1st century.

Start by getting a reliable modern translation, like the New International Version or the Jerusalem Bible.  Then start with Genesis 1:1 and go on through until the end of Revelation. Read all the geneology lists and other things most think boring. Read the Apocrypha - they were counted part of the Christian Biblie until Prot. publishers started leaving them out, 1850s.

Read three chapters an evening, and you'll get through in roughly a year.

Start with the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), then the Acts of the Apostles (also called the Book of Acts). Someone below mentioned the Book of Mormon, but that obviously is not part of the Bible, just the personal writings of one misguided non-Christian man. Avoid it.
