Don't you think adoption shouldn't cost so much money especially when adopting from another country?

It's basically selling a child. I completely condemn the idea of having to pay for a child. If the family is a good family and they have the funds and means of taking in a child then it shouldn't cost anything. Money really is the root of everything in this world.

Perhaps you're not aware of how much money it takes to arrange an adoption. Social workers, attorneys, and their support staffs need to be paid. Office space, utilities, and supplies cost money. These costs get passed along to the adoptive parents because the parents are the ones who benefit from all the work.

If you really think this is wrong, perhaps you could make it your life's goal to establish your own adoption agency, where everything is paid for by donations. I'm not sure who would donate, but maybe you could figure out how to find donors. Until that happens, adoptive parents must continue to pay for the services they use.

Guess you don't believe the social workers, attorneys, and court personnel involved in adoptions should be paid, and think the paperwork just falls from the sky. Suggest you learn adoption law and try to help someone do one, for free, and keep track of all of your time. You should pay all of the filing fees, home study report costs, postage, copying and travel costs for everyone who needs to travel to court, yourself.

Don't see what the country has to do with anything, so why especially another country.

Most of the time the fees pay for the checks to make sure the family is a good family. The cost also deters time wasters, fraudsters etc.

You need to able to provide for the child and prove it.  International adoptions are the most difficult to do.  For people looking to adopt they should try looking in the country they live in where it costs considerably less.  The reason it costs money at all is because paying someone to fill out the paperwork isn’t free.  A lot of time and effort goes into adoption, that’s why it isn’t free
