Adding HID/Xenon kits to a headlamp that never came with them is bad, but will adding LED conversion kits do the same damage?
LEDs, if not given adequate ventilation, tend to generate a fair amount of heat that I assume will cause a similar damage to the headlamp assembly that did not come with them as standard from the factory. I have a BMW E46 318i and E46 323i that I was intending on replacing the halogen bulbs with.
Also, is there any reason why the LED park bullbs are flashing? I'm using another type of LED bulb for the park lamp socket that needs a different type of bulb that has one prong on each site of the butt, not 2 prongs on each side.

No problem with heat as LED draws much lower amps. If you have electronic switching in car then the low LED current can give problems.

be careful adding HID as the low beam the couple of seconds switch time when you come back from high beam isn't nice. Put it back to how the factory did it. Your not an engineer you will not improve on the original system with out creating other problems
