    Yes

I had a job, door to door selling coconuts

It's so hard to sell them when most monkeys now eat bananas

No.  But then, I work in IT and there's a permanent labor shortage in IT.  So I'm always in demand.

If you got rejected for a job, how did you know it was for a quota?  I've been part of the hiring process, and in my experience we would NEVER share internal considerations like that with a prospective employee, especially not one we turned down.  Are you guessing or assuming?  Or do you have some kind of internal mole?

What quota would that be? Keeping a reputation of being dickheads?

Yes, back in the 1970s.  I applied for a job tutoring math.  I was told that they could not hire me because they had to hire a Black person.  I am in fact female, and nowadays that too would be considered a "minority", but not in those days.

    🥴😊

You mean in selling their products?

No. But I was almost always at the bottom when it came to selling their promotions just so customers would be duped into buying things they didnt need.

    So... I changed fields/industries.

I did leave on top of sales though. 😄 So if I ever get tired of the field Im in, I may return.
