Is it true that black people don’t all have coarse hair?

Dark skin tone is just a few genes and is not confined to people of recent Afrikan descent.  For instance, Australian Aborigines, Melanesians and South Indians all have dark skin.  Moreover, some groups of people living in North Afrika are intermediate between Black and White and have various kinds of hair.  The genes governing hair texture are separate.
