What causes people to think that God exists?

For those saying that atheists have no proof that there is no God, do you have proof that we are not the creations of a pink teapot in the sky? No?  Therefore there must be a pink teapot in the sky.  Same logic!

Experience, Proof only brought to the individual. God shows himself thought experience and leaves a path to follow. 

Reading the bible is more than words. It gives idle minds peace. The old testament shows man's history with good and evil while the new testament give man a time for faith and love. Jesus is more than just a story made by man.  

Man needs God.

Atheist have no proof of existence of God therefore God does not exist for them. They can not witness him without faith.

For most believers, it started from when they were babies and were taught by their parents  who themselves were made into blind believers by their parents. They have grown up never thinking that they have been brainwashed, and go on the continue the ruination their little brains, too afraid to even try to research the subject.  Also, without the Greeks, Egyptians and a couple other older societies, Christianity would have never been invented, as all the material used in making Christianity comes from much older  fiction.

Atheists have no proof and it is only natural for human beings to believe there is something bigger than themselves. It is Atheists after such a long existence of mankind deny there is a god of any kind because of the shape we are in this world today.

Indoctrination, pure and simple

They need to be fed their morals. If not they are completely lost and without purpose or hope. They cannot see that their morality comes from within themselves. The human mind is a wonderful thing all on its own.

By saying God does not exist, you say you know everything, because behind that what you do not know God could be hiding. Now that is silly. 

And saying you cannot see God is even more ridiculous because you also cannot see the wind yet you can perceive its effects. With God it is the same if you pay attention you can perceive His effects and know that He exists.

So, you have come up with a substitute for Truth, Eyewitnesses, Fulfilled Prophecies, and Experience? 

The Historical accuracy in the Bible alone trumps that of the Egyptian, Mesopotamian, and Greek histories.

Moral awareness alone proves sin.

Since you say sin is silly then either you are asserting you are morally perfect or you have no moral awareness.

Which is it please?

Hundreds of millions of people know God exists because they have met Him, allowed Him into their lives, and now live in daily relationship and communication with Him. An this was true for three and a half centuries before the Bible even existed. The Bible gets its truth from the Church that produced it, to which Jesus promised the fullness of God's truth, not the other way around.

That would be God.
