If you are an illegal alien ("undocumented" means you are NOT legally present!) there is NO way to adjust status as you hold no legal status to adjust/change. You MUST return to your country of citizenship. No exceptions, no excuses. You broke the law so you go home & stay there.

To adust status, you have to have some sort of legal status in the first place....you are illegal you have no status until you go home where you will be legal in your own country...then apply in the legal way for a visa to live in the country and get that visa BEFORE you arrive

The I-485i is concerned with folks who are unable to adjust status under I-485a because of the public charge rule. It does nothing to help an undocumented alien to adjust status. In order to adjust status, you need to have entered the United States with inspection (a visa or under the VWP), and can prove it, usually by having your original passport with the stamp in it.
