I'm Korean-American, and my husband is Mexican.
Do I say my baby is Korean-American and Mexican?
What's a short word to say?
What's with this obsession you've got with "explaining" your baby?
You say, "This is my baby." Done.

I totally agree with Zirp..I don't understand Americans who claim nationalities but they don't speak the languages spoken by those nationalities ..For instance , many people in the U.S. claim to be Italian American or Mexican American but they are unable to hold a conversation in Italian or Spanish ..As for you, do you speak Korean ? if not then maybe you should reconsider whether you are indeed "American korean".
Now, even if your husband speaks Spanish , I highly doubt that your child will become fluent in Spanish (or Korean ) since most children born to foreign parents and up learning only English ...so your child is just American nothing else .

Why do you have to say anything?
If anyone asks, say "She's mixed Korean and Mexican". Or just say, "Well, I'm Korean by descent, and her father's Mexican".
