Will I fail NJ Inspection for a Service Engine Soon light on my BMW and multiple misfire code?

Just bought the BMW, not sure if this is treated like a check engine light which I know will fail inspection.

Update:

Arrogance and stupidity aren't a good mix, good thing your anonymous.

Service Engine Soon is the same thing as a CEL being lit.

Multiple misfire codes will fail the car.  Get the car fixed.  Could just be bad plugs.  Good luck.

No, dumbdum. That's just telling you to replace the filters and change the oil. It does that at the periodic intervals shown in the owner's manual, which is something a logical and intelligent person should have read.
