Do you think Kristen Bell has been overlooked as a possible guest host on Saturday Night Live?

I don't know what their excuse is for not wanting to have her as their guest host, or whose fault it is that they haven't been able to get her on their show in recent years, but I do believe Kristen Bell is funny and talented enough to host Saturday Night Live, and therefore she deserves an opportunity to host at least one show on SNL this year.

Do you think Kristen Bell has been overlooked (wrongfully) as a potential guest host on SNL? And, is it possible we might see her host SNL at some point this year?

I don't watch SNL anymore because it hasn't been funny since ... probably the 90s.  And even back then it was like one good sketch and one okay sketch a night surrounded by REALLY bad sketches, and even the good sketches are basically taking ONE good joke and retelling it 15 times in a row for exponentially diminishing returns.

BUT, I will say Kristen Bell would be OUTSTANDING in an SNL context because she's very much Old School Hollywood.  She's not one of these method types that needs to juice themselves up for 20 minutes before each take.

Rob Thomas told a story contrasting her and the guy who played Logan Echolls on Veronica Mars.  Echolls' actor (whose name escape me right now) was very method and took a long time to get into his mood and would stay in the mood and character all day and so forth.  Bell showed up, memorized any lines changes they gave her and was ready to go instantly without rehearsal or prep, and yet would give a perfect performance on the first take.  She just has a really quick and instant read on who her character is and how to perform the scene.

I guess what I'm saying is that I think that would translate well to SNL.  Obviously she's still at the mercy of the bad scripts.

She has refused to do it because she doesn't want to show up her husband.  So, do you think Dax should host?
