Why do we still not know how Officer Sicknick died or who shot Ashli Babbit?  Why is our government hiding these?

Update:

larry1:  even the NYTimes has backtracked on that claim.  You might want to keep up to date on these things.

Update 2:

Lili, it's a good thing they hold back on releasing the name of a cop accused of killing a black person... oh wait, dumb mass, they do that immediately.

Update 3:

"Law enforcement officials initially said Mr. Sicknick was struck with a fire extinguisher, but weeks later, police sources and investigators were at odds over whether he was hit. Medical experts have said he did not die of blunt force trauma, according to one law enforcement official.

“He returned to his division office and collapsed,” the Capitol Police said in the statement.

Update 4:

Or are you going to claim the NY Times is a right wing propaganda publication?

Update 5:

Mr. Septic, you are full of crap.

Update 6:

First Dragon.  If a police officer had done that to an unarmed BLM rioter who was assaulting a police station, do you believe their name would have been kept out of the press, or that any Democrat would have said it was justified?

Sounds like there's a double standard at work here.

Being a military veteran, Ashi Babbitt knew better than to try to enter a secure area in a federal building. She should have known that she would likely be shot if she entered and she tried to do it anyway. I don't know what else the security guard should have done. There was a raging mob behind her and if they had broken through, those people would have surged into the chamber and taken hostages or killed those already inside. Yes, I know she was unarmed but the guard who shot her didn't know that. For all he knew, she could have been carrying a concealed weapon or been a suicide bomber. You simply can't be too careful in situations like this one.

We do know who shot the traitor breaking into the Capitol .

Should we release his name and address so you animals can go burn down his home?

    Nah, I think not.

She got exactly what she deserved.  The only shame, is that he only got one of them .

Officer Sicknick was beaten to death by armed terrorists invading the Capitol under the instructions of Donald Trump.

Ashley Babbit was one of those terrorists attempting to force illegal entry into the chamber, and she ignored instructions to not try to climb through the broken window into the chamber.

I think the medical examiners are still trying to work out exactly why Officer Sicknick died.  There is no evidence of blunt force trauma as first reported.

As for who shot Babbit, I'm pretty sure the Capitol Police know who shot her, but there is such turmoil over the event, that they are not willing to make it public yet.  I imagine it was quite traumatic for the shooter as well, especially when he learned she was unarmed.  His judgment may be correct technically, if rioters were shouting "hang Mike Pence" as is reported.  Even if she was not part of that, there was a deadly threat and the shooter would have to assume that anybody trying to enter the locked door had deadly intentions.  But I don't know all the circumstances.

What is really strange, the only two killed people on Capitol were both great Trump supporters.

The young woman was an army veteran, who made long way from California to Dc to support Trump.

Capitol police officer Sit nick (?) wrote letter to his senator supporting President Trump.

Democrats were scared to death, but two great Trump supporters were killed.

    I agree, this deserves investigation.

We do know, officer Sicknick was smashed in the head with afire extinguisher and murdered on screen. Ashli Babbet was shot and killed after she and the rioters chased the cops into a confined room to murder them, the trapped cops (finally) opened fire  in self defense, she was killed the others ran away.
