What are some good UK acting agencies?
I have been trying to get an agent to take me on and been doing research however I cannot find one/decide on one.
I unfortunately am not a drama school graduate as I did not get the chance to go to drama school but I am also not willing to give up on my lifelong dream due to one minor setback so I thought I would use every resource possible, even yahoo answers.
I'm looking for a professional agency willing to take on and represent new talent without them having been referred from somewhere else - is anyone represented by/know any good talent agencies in the UK? Preferably near Manchester or at a stretch, London
I know covid is making things difficult currently in the industry but I still want to try
EDIT: I am very wary of scams and too-good-to-be-true opportunities. I know the best in is via drama school but as I stated it's not an option for me personally.
I am looking for a trusted agency that can be guaranteed to not be a scam. I am still new to the industry as I am the only person in my family to ever pursue the arts and have had to do all the research and work myself

I'm sorry, but very few genuine agencies will even consider you unless you've graduated from a top UK drama school. It's unfair, short-sighted and prejudiced, but that's how it is. And at the moment, there are hundreds of thousands of unemployed actors, very little work and who knows when we'll get back to 'normal'.
Your only chance is if you've had a few years at a really good acting school and loads of impressive experience in short films, student films and on stage - in leading roles.
I know a lot of actors like you, and it's taken a few of them years to get signed with any genuine agency at all, and the rest still cannot find an agent.
Now is a really bad time to try to break into acting. I'd recommend concentrating on getting qualifications and experience in whatever you've chosen as your 'day job', and get the best training and experience as an actor that you can AFTER the virus crisis is over.
Good luck!

Robin, 2020 Casting is a good agency but it's actually in Ealing Studios now, joined with Mad Dog, and it is a casting agency for extras.
