Why do some people playfully talk to big cats like they’re housecats?
Sure, they may look and act like giant versions of our cute and cuddly feline friends, but playing with them the same way as playing with a domestic cat could have much more serious consequences.

true. its easy to overlook their big teeth and sharp claws because we're used to the mini & tamed version of wild cats. I also think many pet owners inherently loved animals so they'll just try to make friends with any animals, even though its dangerous. but you're right, it was wrong and very dangerous.
