I'm 15 years old average and African American, I want to audition to become a kpop idol, do you think I would be accepted?

It's tough.

Even for Koreans, it's tough.

Koreans are quite picky.

As some have said, some of them spent years in training under a private trainer because Koreans are trying to start their own Korean movement, aka Hallyu, to boost Korea's popularity and make a good name for itself.

Also, there aren't really any foreigners that goes to their country and become an idol. They do usually admire foreign idols, but it's unheard of for them to create one and to call them their own. They may create a half Korean idol like, Han Hyun-min or Bae Yoo Jin, but they're still technically Koreans since they grew up in Korea.

You could possibly be the first, but I predict it'll be a huge controversy if you're solo. It may be more possible if you were in a group similar to "BTS" or create your own American-Korean group with actual Korean-Americans like "Far East Movement" and be part of them. It would still get Korea's attention since it's an almost all Korean group. And would get even more attention if the group could actually sing in Korean.

First, you’d have to know Korean. Then, you’ll have to live there. I don’t think it’s impossible but a lot of things have to go your way

There's foreigner kpop idols. I think there was a black girl who talked about the training. It's brutal. I don't know if foreigners can make it through that type of training since the standards everywhere else isn't so strict. They treat chocolate like it's a drug.

There's a few black celebrities in Korea that made it on the variety show. You're starting really young so I don't see why not. You can train with them for 4 years and then debut. Learn Korean. 

Keep in mind modeling and acting, those are all college majors in Korea. It's a whole other level what you need to go through in Korea versus in America.
