Imagine that you are running your own business as a moving company in a cold state like Nebraska.  Could cold spell, cause decline in $?

I started my own moving company and in competition with King's and Covan (moving companies).  We just had a bad cold spell here in Kansas; and I am sitting back doing nothing.  Could the cold spell make people not want to move; or am I just imagining things?

Lesson #1 on how to drive in blizzard conditions, especially if the location and/or the driver are unaccustomed to it:  DON"T.

Most people plan moving in advance.

so a cold spell can disrupt what was planned

In a few days when the weather is better, you might not be able to fit in all the jobs you had so you have lost some money.

However, it's not going to permanently eliminate money from you.

If you weren't very busy it might help you because Kings and Covan may not be able to do their moves and you get the work at the last minute.

Yeah, nobody wants to be carrying things back and forth from the house to a moving truck in freezing temperatures. Its also the middle of the month, a lot of people try to move at the end of the month because that's generally when apartment leases end.
