How to store a quad bike or dirt bike?

I’m going to buy a dirt bike soon but have no clue on how to store it... I don’t want to keep it in the house as it will get the house dirty so I want to keep it outside in the shed but I don’t want it rusting over time so any ideas on what shed to buy and any covers or anything?

A shed with a dry roof works.  I store mine under the porch. so it stays dry.  That is good enough for years.  I don't cover it so the wind dries it out if the wind blows rain in sideways.  The bike essentially does not rust...as it is all chromed or stainless steel or aluminum or painted.  I mean, you ride in the rain or mud so it is like a car.  I rinse off with a water hose. Had 6 bikes since the 70's.

    Clean it, dry it.

    Cover it.

Put it in the shed and put a correct sized cover over it.  And go to sleep.
