Fun Fact Question about Paying Back?

I have a question to ask, this is about money, let's say I borrow 20 dollars from Bill, he gives me the money, then my dad wants to borrow 10 dollars from me that I am borrowing, if I give him 10 dollars, who does he owe me or Bill. Which way do you prefer, the chain payback as in he has to give the money back to me to pay back Bill or the shortcut pay to pay back Bill? What way is more better? Just something I thought about.

YOU owe Bill $20. Bill didn't agree to loan your father anything.

Whatever you loaned your father is 100% separate from Bill.

    You owe Bill $20

Your Dad doesn't know Bill otherwise he would have borrowed from him.

He owes you. Because you still owe Bill $20 even if your dad doesn't pay you back.

You borrowed the money from Bill, it's your responsibility to pay him back the whole $20. Then you collect the other ten from your dad.

Bill's contract is with you = you pay Bill back, even if Dad doesn't pay you.

Dad's contract is with you = Dad pays you back
