From a story line perspective, is it time for WWE to move the women's tag titles off Jax and Basler?
I am thinking about who other than Jax and Basler on Raw are currently positioned to be a good heel challenger to Asuka and who could be a credible tag team champion without the tag team championship being held by people who should be wrestling for the Women's titles. Having Basler and Jax defending the tag team titles seems to keep them from going after Asuka's title. And having Asuka chase the women's tag title seems to be taking away from having that many defenses of the Raw women's title.
I think Basler and Jax were always put forward as an interim tag team to take the belts off of Bailey and Banks to allow that feud to play out. They have never seemed to be a real team. Between Basler, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Asuka, and Rhea Ripley, you could have a very good Raw Women's Division. Get Nikki Cross and Peyton Royce good partners, let the Riott Squad be a serious team along with Natalya and Tamina, and you could have a decent tag team division.

Considering how many Women's Tag Teams WWE has broken up in the last few years: The Kabuki Warriors, The Iconics, Fire and and Desire to name a few, WWE has a shortage of credible Women's Tag Teams. Yes, WWE has been remiss in putting up credible Challengers to Their Singles Titles as well. This is Professional Wrestling 101? How hard is this to think of? How many Decades have The McMahon Family been involved in Professional Wrestling? 9 Decades how stupid can they be? On another subject, I don't know that I want Nia Jax wrestling Singles Matches when I think of the long list of Wrestlers that she has injured in the last few years. I think, I'd rather she Nia Jax in Tag Team Matches. She needs to spend more time at The WWE Performance Center and learn to wrestle matches without actually hurting her opponents in rea life.

The solution shouldn't be to 'split the team'. The solution should be 'stop having the two divisions intermingle.' In a perfect world, those tag titles would be for women who AREN'T going after the singles gold, but instead having a program with a different title that makes them seem legitimate. That's not the case in WWE for some reason though, but I do wish Baez and Nia would stay away from the singles scene, and Asuka away from the tag so long as she holds the main singles title. There are plenty of women on Raw who could be challenging for either championship, including the incoming Rhea Ripley.
While I wouldn't hate Nia and Shayna dropping the gold to Dakota and Raquel so that NXT could have a shot at booking a decent women's tag division, I'm not sure if Gonzalez needs it and Dakota's done great carving out a niche for herself outside of the women's title picture with feuds not involving a secondary title. Nia needs these belts. Baezler might not, but Nia definitely benefits from limited in-ring time and having a talented tag partner to work alongside of and maybe learn what it means to hit hard and be intimidating.

It should not matter.
The Pro-Wrestling entertainment will work out who will bring the best gate.
Profits drive the WWE system. The front office will work out who deserves the titles.
When I last heard, a belt cost 10,000$US to buy. They are NOT just "given away".
