Why does every region in USA have their own meat? Northeast-turkey, southeast-chicken, midwest-pig, southwest-cattle, and west-bison?

    The USA is a big place and they sort of segregate similar animals mainly because they taste different.

    That is because their diets and environments are different.

    The numbers of these animals for regions is different too.

    Like not many wild hog in northwest, not many deer in the south.

    Nothing official about it, just the way it happens.

    People in the NE, for example, eat chicken, beef, pork. Turkey is only on special occasions.
