Have you ever gave up doing something you were really good at and enjoyed?

I am an accomplished classical piano player.  I stopped playing because I am older now, and no one wants to give old farts lessons to improve.  You had a parallel situation that you encountered in your life?  I also am held back because I don't have college degree; which means everything in many people's minds.

Yes, well I had to give up ice skating and skiing,   after a bad fall,  and I broke my ankle .

Just didn't seem prudent to keep pushing my luck-

As one gets older......you stop putting silly things on your feet that make you unstable.

and bones just don't heal as fast past a certain age.  You start rethinking doing all these unnecessary  crazy things.

Yes ice hockey. I nearly played at the university level in Canada, and also got to

practise with a minor league team in the US. Various injuries took a toll so too did

determination to hopefully and finally complete my university degree. The final nail

in the coffin though was politics - I am liberal & many in that sport are conservative.

Not just economic eh, but rather to the point of supporting and/or defending trump.

I liked ice skating as a kid but I was better than my sister so to avoid problems at home my mom had us both quit
