I am a member of a group. One member has just made a contact email address for the group.?

Only the 1 member who created the email address has access and refuses to give the password to others. Work done are sent and received from this email address. I have no access or control. I have no idea who is writing or asking questions. Other members of the group do not care but it’s possible that they have access but is not letting me know. What does this mean for me?
