If you needed to draw attention to yourself by making your car louder, you WOULD be a loser.
Plus it tends to be bad for the environment

Loser! We still make fun of cherry bomb exhausts. It’s been almost 20 yrs since high school & we make fun of the guys that has them.

No. Engineers go through a lot of trouble to design cars to be quieter. No one is impressed with a loud car.
